Tracking the Governor’s Office of New Opportunities & Rural Transformational Health (GO-NORTH)
The Governor’s Office of New Opportunities & Rural Transformational Health (GO-NORTH) is a new state entity created to oversee implementation of New Hampshire’s Rural Health Transformation Program—a major initiative designed to expand access to affordable, high-quality health care in rural communities across the Granite State. In early 2026, Governor Kelly Ayotte appointed Donnalee Lozeau as Director of GO-NORTH, placing a seasoned public servant at the helm of this high-priority effort.
New Hampshire was awarded more than $204 million in federal funding as part of the rural health transformation initiative, the largest allocation among all New England states. GO-NORTH’s work includes strengthening preventive care, building health workforce capacity, promoting innovative care delivery models, and enhancing sustainable health system infrastructure in rural areas.
This page will follow GO-NORTH’s actions, meetings, funding decisions, and updates as the program unfolds. Our goal is to provide clear, up-to-date information for families, health professionals, policymakers, and community partners on how rural health transformation efforts are progressing and what they mean for health care access in New Hampshire’s rural communities.
